Probate deeds

A probate deed refers to a deed that is transferred or created as part of the probate process, where a court oversees the distribution of a deceased person's property.

When real estate is involved, a probate deed is the legal document used to transfer ownership from the estate to a beneficiary or heir after the court-supervised administration of the will or estate.

Currently, our data collection and verification vendor does not collect probate deeds. If you are listing a property that has recently completed the probate process and the heir/beneficiary's name is now on the assessors record, email tax@smartmls.com and we will get the information updated.
