Whether you’re looking for a single property record or a group of records, your first step is to perform a simple search.
You must choose at least one County to begin your search. Just click within the box and choose from the dropdown list. You can also just start typing the desired county name to narrow down the list you see. If you are unsure of the correct County a specific town is in, click here for a breakdown of all 8 counties within the state of CT:
After selecting your desired county/counties, you can continue your Simple Search by using the multi-search field located directly beneath the County box:
This field allows you to search by Owner Name, Address, Parcel ID or MLS#. Simply start typing your search criteria in the box. After you have entered two characters, an auto-complete list will appear with any matching records. You can select from one of these matches if it happens to be the record you’re looking for, or you can use more broad terms if the correct record was not found. Using broader search terms reduces the chance of accidentally filtering out desired properties.
The auto-complete list will display up to the first 7 matches for each of the four categories (Owner Name, Address, Parcel ID, or MLS#) in alphabetical order. To only see matches for one of the categories, click the View More link to the right:
The list will change to show the first 20 matches of that individual category, sorted in alphabetic order:
You can return to the original list of results by clicking Return to Full Options:
If your desired record is one of those first 20 matches, just click it to view the full record. If your desired record is not one of the first 20 matches, click the Submit button to continue to the results page and see all matching records.
Note: if you click the Submit button without first clicking the View More link for a specific category, your results page will include all matching records in all four categories (Owner's Name, Address, Parcel ID, or MLS#).
Using a Wildcard
If you are uncertain of the spelling of the owner's name or street address, you can use the % (percent sign) as a wildcard to help find the property you need. The wild card searches for combinations or variations of your criteria. For example, if you are looking for a street with lake in the name, enter %lake to generate a list of streets with lake anywhere within the street name.
The dropdown list will contain the top 20 results. Click Submit to see all matches:
